The existing Car Park surface was becoming a health and safety issue. Cars were parking right up to the steps of the church and there was no longer a safe pedestrian space outside of the front doors. A new design required proper lighting, a new car park layout, a respectful and welcoming layout for the entrance area, in addition a cross was to be reconstructed within the yard and lamps were to be remade for the entrance piers. Limestone paving was used to reflect the materials on the church, an LED lighting scheme was designed to highlight some of the detail on the buildings and provide a safe nighttime environment for the exterior. Expert contractors and stone masons were employed to provide high quality finishes. This project was constructed in 2015.
