A major refurbishment of the waterproofing on the deck of the car park roofs in Porkala, meant an opportunity to find out what people wanted and needed on the Roof Terrace area. Porkala is Stockholms densest residential Area, so a robust design and an aesthetic lift was very much required for the area.

A detailed questionaire was sent to all of the residents in the area and the responses were collated and analysed. new parking and waste fascilities would be needed, along with good lighting, some privacy and safety as a priority. Some small seating areas and toddlers play areas were also required. Working with a team of consultants, presenting alternative designs, the chosen layout was constructed in 2012.
