The Dry Stone Wall Association of Ireland is just something I’ve recently stumbled across, and it seems to be a very good source of information on all things related to Dry Stone Walling. It has a very comprehensive list of books to do with walling, so I just thought I’d post up this link and promote them a little. Its a great idea, we really need to keep all these old skills and I for one would love to see more of these very skillfully built walls around the place, such a fantastic craft.

Their AGM is coming up next week, on at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone, January 25, from 1pm to 6pm! And if you want any additional info, contact Ken through the web site or forum… he replied to me almost straight away. Best of luck with it.
I have some stone out farm houses in north Mayo whose solid walls are in need of repair and replacement in some parts. How do I go about getting this done? Many thanks Eamon
Eamon, you should contact the Dry Stone Walling Association, DSWAI.ie. All the contact details are there. Hope this helps.
